Going Back to the Fashion in 80s – Guest Post

“A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.” ― Coco Chanel

How great and creative were not the new ideas of the new designers, the fashion is a capricious lady, who wants to be back again and again. We may see the fashion shows demonstrating us the comeback of the fashion of the previous century. The fashion of the 80s, the fashion of the youth of our moms and dads, now seems ridiculous and absurd. However, this fashion again won all the podiums of the world, making us remember that a woman can be eccentric and bright, and may impress us in any situation.

The fashion of the 80s allows fantasizing and combining the things that seem not to be combined in principle. The only criterion is to remain among this variety feminine, sometimes fragile and boyishly slender, sometimes a woman-vamp on a high platform and with bright red lips. The style of our moms and dads namely will help feel completely at ease this spring after a long and severe winter, once again feel yourself free.

The fashion of the 80s literally won the podiums of all the well-known designers. Again we can see the leggings of various colors, mini-skirts and mini-dresses, maxi-T-shirts and silhouette “power-dressing”, which differs by the volumetric top and narrowed short bottom, wide belts that make the waist fancifully thin.

Long live sex and rock-n-roll in fashion! The colors will shock, ruffle, and hallucinate. They are sophisticated, bright: poisonous-green, strawberry, golden apricot and more. Yellow is the color that will be extremely popular this season

The owners of thin waists this spring will give an opportunity to emphasize their advantages. Skirts-tulips and skirts-bells will be an integral part of the wardrobe of every girl. Shades should be, of course, those of a spring, pleasing with freshness and lightness. Herewith, the top should be better of a saturated, rich tone. These colors should be combined with clear lines, asymmetrical shapes, smooth wide straps and belts. Such combinations namely will allow to maximally emphasize all the advantages.

No fashion-monger will do without jeans. No matter how much she would like to wear dresses, such an important and meantime simple and comfortable thing as jeans will always be a necessary one.

This spring is also the season of jeans. If tight jeans were the hit of the last season, now they are replaced by tight trousers. It is important for them to tightly cover the hips and underline the lines and shapes along the full length. And a necessary attribute of every fashion girl will be… a zipper. Currently, it is not only an item of clothing that is hidden, performing a prosaic function. The zipper became an ornament for dresses, shirts, skirts. Silver and gold, wide and narrow, transverse and longitudinal, plastic and metal, colored and plain – they are extremely popular this season.

However, all the girls should remember that while following the fashion, the most important thing is to remain yourself, bring your own highlight to the fashion, since no clothing makes the man, and man clothing.

  1. I would like to comment on the picture. I noticed the socks they are wearing. The ones in the middle and the ones on the end with the red stripes. They are terry turn cuff and were very popular back then. I really liked them and still do. They are hard to find them and when someone does they ask whey to much for them. If you have any or no anyone who does and would like to sell them put them on ebay. Picks would be nice too. Thanks.
